The story of Spintso started in 2002. Not with a watch - but with your very first product: the PDA.

Chapter 1 – Where it all began: the PDA

The year was 2002. During an intense World Cup match between Brazil and Turkey, a simple but crucial realization emerged: There must be a better way to support referees on the pitch.

Too many decisions. Too high a speed. Too little technical support.

The answer to this followed in 2008: the Spintso PDA – a digital tool, far ahead of its time. With real-time capture of game events, rules and match reports, he changed the way referees could work before, during and after games.

Together with elite referees and the Swedish Football Association, the system was tested, adapted and further developed in hundreds of games - nationally and internationally.

The foundation was laid here. Not just technically – but also in attitude: We listen to the referee. And we still do it today.

Chapter 2 – Tools become everyday life (Retro Pro, 2X & 2S)

The year 2010. The PDA had proven itself. One function in particular was valued by referees: timekeeping.

It quickly became clear what the next logical step had to be: a watch with exactly these functions.

The first Spintso-Watches were created with a clear goal: to make the referee's work easier, faster and more intuitive.

Vibration alarms, intelligent time functions and a clear overview replaced compromises and conventional sports watches. No more converting.

Were early Spintso-Watches used at the highest level - in top national leagues as well as in the Champions League, World Cup and European Championship qualifications.

Chapter 3 – When watches become standard

The next step followed in 2014. Models like Retro Pro, 2S and 2X offered exactly what referees needed - and nothing more.

They became part of everyday gaming life around the world. Not because they were the most advanced referee watches on paper, but because they worked.

In the rain. In the cold. In the heat. On long game days.

Growing in parallel Spintso international – both in terms of the number of users and across different sports. Further development continued in close communication with those who are actually on the pitch.

Chapter 4 – When time leaves its mark

2017. The years had passed. The watches were in use – day after day.

Models like the Retro Pro became more than just tools. They developed into real classics.

By the time production ended around 2018, they had already achieved legendary status. And today, many of them still run reliably on the wrists of referees around the world.

A clear proof of robust construction, reliable functionality and products that were developed for real everyday gaming.

Chapter 5 – A new chapter is taking shape

Something new began in 2021. The desire for a more modern one Spintsogeneration became loud.

A new chapter began with the S1 and S1 Pro. Experience met new technology. Watches that could be adapted to individual needs.

Together with the communication systems, a larger whole emerged step by step: an ecosystem. Designed to help referees focus on what matters most - the game.

Chapter 6 – Between the lines

Production of the S1 series ended in 2025. But the story didn't end there.

Work continued in the background. Heard. Tested. Refined. Learned. Just like it has been since day one.

The year is 2026. And now it’s that time again.

A new chapter is about to begin. Or maybe even the start of a whole new book.

The working title is: “XXXXX”. A new generation of Spintso-Referee watches. Developed based on everything learned – and feedback from those on the pitch every game.

Without a referee – no game.
